Calibrating a vernier caliper is important to ensure accurate measurements. If the measurement matches the known dimension of the block, then the caliper is calibrated. If not, proceed to the next step. Adjust the calibration: Using a small screwdriver or Allen key, adjust the calibration screw on the caliper until the measurement matches the known dimension of the reference block. Verify the calibration: After making adjustments, measure the reference block again to verify that the caliper is now calibrated correctly. Repeat if necessary: If the caliper is still not calibrated, repeat steps 4 and 5 until the measurement matches the known dimension of the reference block.
