Impact (IK) Test
A method for classifying degrees of protection of enclosures for electrical equipment against external mechanical impacts when the rated voltage of the protected equipment is not greater than 72.5 kV. Impact test determines the amount of energy absorbed by a material during fracture. This absorbed energy is a measure of a given material's toughness and acts as a tool to study temperature-dependent brittle-ductile transition. It is to determine whether the material is brittle or ductile in nature. IK(Impact Energy) range:IK01,02,03,04,05,06,07,08,09,10 BAPl has test capability to perform the Impact test as per IEC 62262: 2002/IEC 60068-2-75: 2014/IS 9000(Part 7/Sec 7): 2006.
